I am an accountant with a passion for strategy, planning, and helping business leaders make informed decisions using reliable financial information. 

After completing my studies at the University of Ottawa and obtaining my CPA designation in 2012, I articled with two mid-size accounting firms in Ottawa. My areas of focus included working with a variety of small and medium sized businesses and non-profit organizations performing financial statement audits, year ends and tax planning work.  

In 2014, I was offered an opportunity to work in the North with Cree Nations in the James Bay area of Quebec. I worked with local governments to help complete year end financial records and complete audits of the municipality and of the local development corporations. I loved the collaborative nature of the work and the rich culture and incredible people I met in the North. I continued to seek out opportunities to travel to Northern Quebec and Inuit communities in Nunavut where I worked with municipal governments and nonprofits to complete annual audits and clean up financial records to report on funding uses and project results.  

I started my own accounting practice in 2017 focused on collaborative accounting work by working with nonprofits, municipalities and business leaders to help develop strong financial control systems, generate reliable financial information and help make strategic decisions. I began working with Odonaterra in 2020 and helped implement performance metrics and forecasting to guide the growth of the company into the future.
